AIRSA News

Information & Referral services (I&R) are an important component of our social services network in our province. They are also services that are delivered differently in many communities. AIRSA ? Association of Information & Referral Services of Alberta was established as a nonprofit organization in 2006 to support the development and delivery of I&R Services.

One of AIRSA?s key initiatives has been its annual conference held in Red Deer in June of each year. This year?s conference is scheduled for June 8, 2012. We are anticipating having some great speaks with us this year and will open the event with a keynote message expected to excite us all. What is AIRSA?

AIRSA (The Association of Information and Referral Services of Alberta) is a society of information and referral service providers in Alberta.

Our vision is that everyone in Alberta will have equal access to quality information and referral for community, government, health and social services.

AIRSA has been formed to strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of information and referral across Alberta by providing leadership, education and support. We promote best practices in Information and Referral and encourage communication and co-operation among information and referral service providers.

One of the advantages of joining AIRSA, is that we are currently embarking on some exciting initiatives such as the plans to go province-wide with 211 and InformAlberta.ca.
